Training for Sponsor Licence Holders

Our immigration experts manage sponsor licences for a large number of organisations, including issuing Certificates of Sponsorship and updating the Sponsor Management System as needed. We are also regularly instructed by sponsors that have received a sponsor licence suspension notice from UKVI and we have had considerable success in working with the Sponsor and the UKVI to help reinstate the licence.

We cover a number of key areas such as compliance with the published Sponsor Duties, choosing the most appropriate Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) code, how to issue Certificates of Sponsorship and recent case law. We focus on critical areas including preventing illegal working; how you must check that employees have the correct right to work in the UK; record keeping; monitoring migrant activity and expiry dates.

We also cover the process for those applying for entry clearance or leave to remain. This enables those who are responsible for the organisation’s sponsor licence to gain an in-depth understanding of the immigration application process and requirements for employees and their family members.
