Sponsor Compliance Review
All licensed sponsors must follow the duties outlined in the Sponsor Guidance. Failure to do so can lead to action from UKVI, including the suspension or revocation of the sponsor licence. The Sponsor Guidance is updated frequently and is both extensive and complex. As such, a sponsor should review its practices and policies regularly to ensure they are compliant with the Sponsor Guidance.
UKVI may perform a sponsor compliance inspection as part of a new sponsor licence application, as part of a sponsor licence renewal application or at any time throughout the period in which the organisation holds a sponsor licence. The purpose of UKVIís review is to determine whether or not the organisation is complying, or capable of complying, with the sponsor duties.
Inspections may be undertaken by way of a visit to the sponsor, which may be announced or unannounced.
If your business is due an inspection from UKVI, or you want to check your compliance is fit for purpose, we offer a remote or on-site, sponsor compliance review service.
On-site Sponsor Compliance Review and Half-yearly/Annual Audits:
How we can help
We recommend an on-site compliance review, where one of our team will visit you to review your current/proposed HR systems and controls, carry out a mock UKVI compliance review and discuss your understanding of the key immigration policies that are applicable to you as a Sponsor. We will advise on any areas of concern or any areas that require improvement.
For many Sponsor clients we provide a half yearly or annual audit and review of their HR and immigration compliance which ensures they are ready for any UKVI inspection in the future.
